As I was painting this painting i meant for it to be much more but then I suddenly stopped. it could be my Dear Mother, Willie Mae, my Dear Great-Grandmother Jones, my Dear Aunt Lucille, my Dear Aunt Essie, my Dear Aunt Dixie----This evokes the memories of so many dear women who helped to shape my life. i could not add even one thing!!---The memories this evoke brings tears to my eyes, the powerful women who had a hand in shaping the man I became.
